Sarah Geronimo's "The Other Side" - a sold out concert at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre - August 11
Pinoy Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo proved her reign as the most celebrated teen icon with the success of her new soap "Bituing Walang Ningning" -- and a sold out concert at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. (See review below)

Sarah Geronimo's sold-out concert last night at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre here in Los Angeles proved that she is the reigning teen superstar to beat. Her popularity soared higher with the success of her new soap "Bituing Walang Ningning" creating a big buzz that the concert would definitely a sold out.

As early as 6 PM, people unabled to secure tickets lined up at the box-office, only to find out that $125 top seats are the only ones available. All balcony seats have been taken.

Guests Mark Bautista, Kris Lawrence, and Jimmy Marquez opened the show at 8 PM, singing the Pinoy Big Brother theme song. Sarah joined them initially. The three guys shared equal time and received swoons from the crowd.

But it was Sarah Geronimo's performance which commanded the show. Sarah imitated her favorite Michael Jackson in full attire singing "Beat It," and a couple more. She also did a medley of songs from legendary singers Ms. Pilita Corrales and Ms. Sylvia La Torre offering the crowd a different taste of uptempo of "A Million Thanks to You," imposing a disco-rock flava. She sang "Ang Pipit" with a Black Eyed Peas' famous tempo, "Waray-Waray," "Sa Kabukiran," and "Ikaw ang Mahal Ko" was also a winner. OPMs "Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay" and "Bituing Walang Ningning" added the grandeur of the evening as Sarah's version gave justice to Megastar Sharon Cuneta's originals.

An autograph signing with the four idols immediately took place after the show. Unfortunately, it was impossible to accommodate all the people waiting in a very long line around the the theatre. (See more pics at Photo Gallery.
