Breaking Glass Pictures has just released the North American release of B.O.Y., a heart-wrenching and beautifully crafted LGBTQ+ coming-of-age drama from acclaimed Danish filmmaker Søren Green, now available on major VOD platforms.
The film, written by Søren Green and Thomas Lagermand Lundme, and produced by Pelle Folmer, Morten Holst, and Per Holst, explores themes of love, loss, and resilience. Starring Noa Risbro Jjerrild (a compelling performance as Tobias), Jens Jørn Spottag (as his Grandfather), Alexander Mayah Larsen (Aron), Bodil Jørgensen (as Tobias’ Grandmother), Paw Henriksen (Father), and Iben Dorner (Mother).
Sixteen-year-old Tobias is forced by his absent mother to spend the summer alone with his grandparents in the Danish countryside. There, he falls for the slightly older and enigmatic Aron. Despite the budding romance, Tobias’ inner demons prevent him from accepting lasting love. When tragedy strikes, he descends into a harrowing journey of self-harm, desire, and loneliness, with glass shards in his heart.
“B.O.Y.” has garnered international recognition in different film festivals:

- Oslo/Fusion International Film Festival (Norway)
- Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy (Finland)
