HPA classes include: vocal technique, stage performance, dance, songwriting and artist development.

Hollywood Pop Academy is a division of Los Angeles’ Campus Hollywood, the parent company which includes Musician’s Institute, Theatre of Arts, Elegance Makeup, ESP Guitars, and Schecter Guitar Research. Japanese owner, president and founder, Mr. Hisatake Shibuya had a dream to create a premiere training facility for all performing and entertaining arts.

After decades of acquiring, developing, and perfecting top notch training institutions for the performing arts, he created Hollywood Pop Academy in 2003 and the establishment has quickly created much attention from heavy hitters in the music and entertainment industry.

In June 2007, the academy held its 1st annual Stevie Wonder Scholarship event. Five winners received scholarships worth $30,000 each towards full tuition, an original demo, various performance opportunities, and an A&R-Industry concert. Hundreds of hopefuls auditioned and after calling back the top forty, Mr. Wonder arrived to personally hand out the awards to the well deserved winners and held an intimate performance for the entire school.

HPA continues to strive to build the scholarship fund each year in order to assist aspiring artists from less fortunate communities in the greater Los Angeles area.

Hollywood Pop Academy is internationally and nationally producing the most driven, talented, desired and competitive up-and-coming artists of this generation and next.
