Daryl Ong joins Los Angeles leg of Vice Ganda's "Pusuan Mo Si Vice Ganda Sa Amerika" U.S. concert tour
by Oliver Carnay
Before Daryl Ong became more popular via ASAP, the Sunday noontime variety show of ABS-CBN, he was one of the finalists of "The Voice" (Philippines), Season 2. I knew that even if he was eliminated on TVP, he will have a stable singing career. He did ..
I first came about to know this singer when I was browsing on youtube. He was doing a lot of cover songs then and has a lot of followers. He was not the matinee idol type, but there is something about the way he sings-- It pierce into your heart emotionally and it's all pure talent and voice. I learned that this young crooner was a former member of the disbanded boyband group - "Voices of 5" (2013). Among his signature songs include his own version of "Ikaw Na Nga" (original song of Willlie Revillame) and "Paano" (his TVP "blind audition" piece).
After TVP, Daryl continues to add highlights in his budding career. He released his first self-titled album in 2015. He sang his own version of "Stay", the theme song of Jadine's "On The Wings of Love" teleserye (originally recorded by Carol Banawa) and now a regular ASAP performer.
Daryl Ong is having his first U.S. stage performance as he joins the L.A. leg of Vice Ganda's U.S. concert tour. You can catch him at Vice Ganda's "Pusuan Mo Si Vice Ganda" concert at the Los Angeles Theatre (downown, Los Angeles) on April 1, 2017, Saturday, 7 p.m. brought to you by www.Starmedia Entertentainment.com (Anna Puno), www.VicEntertainment.biz (Vic Perez), and The Filipino Channel (TFC).
