First LGBTQ film from Slovenia “CONSEQUENCES” opening at Laemmle Monica August 2 and digital platforms (August 6)

17-year old Andrej is a troubled teen-ager admitted to a correctional facility where he meets Zeljko, a bully and manipulator who begins to exploit him in return for keeping his sexuality a secret. He soon must decide between joining a life of crime or staying true to himself.

CONSEQUENCES had its World Premiere at TIFF and is the first narrative LGBTQ film from Slovenia. Uncork’d Entertainment will release CONSEQUENCES in a limited theatrical release with markets including the Laemmle Monica in LA on August 2. The film will also be made available on digital platforms such as iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Xbox, Fandango Now, Dish Network and through local cable providers on August 6. The film has a running time of 95 minutes and will not be rated by the MPAA.
