The 10th anniversary of Asian World Film Festival had a sold out screening of “Hello, Love, Again,” held at The Culver Theatre on Wednesday (November 20), with stars from the film, headed by Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, who signed autograph and took pics with fans waiting for them as early as 4:00 pm. Bernardo and Richards, together with its cast members, walked the red carpet and did interviews from international press before heading to the full-packed theatre, with attendees screaming their names as soon as the cast sat down to watch the movie.
Executive & Program Director Georges N. Chamchoum and Co-Founder & Managing Director Asel Sherniyazova welcomed the cast members. Mr. Chamchoun gave an endearing message to the audience, “tomorrow, she is our rising star!” Chamchoun reveals Kathryn Bernardo will be given the “Rising Star Award” the following day at the AWFF Ceremony Awards Night. Chamchoun adds, “I know she has made about 40 movies in the Philippines, but in America, hopefully starting this year, she will be a big star!” Chamchoun mentioned that after gracing AWFF and becoming the recipient of “Rising Star Award,” comedian Awkwafina became a big star in Hollywood. “But please, Kathryn, you won’t forget us, right?” he kidded. He continued the conversation by calling Kriz Gazmen onstage to give an introduction to the film, HLA cast and ABS-CBN Film creatives, who flew all the way from Manila and the movie before the screening.
Creatives from ABS-CBN Films/ Star Cinema also attended and graced the red carpet were Carmi Raymundo (Head of creative & HLA writer, ABS-CBN Films), Kriz Gazmen (Managing Director, ABS-CBN Films). Mico Del Rosario (Head of Marketing, ABS-CBN Films), John Leo Garcia, Head of Production- ABS-CBN Films), and Marizel Samson-Martinez (Head of Prod and Operations, ABS-CBN Films).
Other cast members who donned the red carpet and participated in the Q&A panel after the screening were co-stars Ruby Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Mark Labella, Marvin Aritrangco, Kevin Reider, and Carmi Raymundo. The Q&A was moderated by Mark Anthony Nicolas (“On Your Marc” GMA PInoyTV host, Emmy-winning supervising producer of CBS’ “The Talk”). Other guests include Filipino fashion designer Kenneth Barlis, and influencers Dontae Carlett, Vicki Chen, Chloe Czuleghka G. Perez, and Camille Nicole Sillona.
