"A Very Sordid Wedding" to Open 19th Annual FILMOUT SAN DIEGO (June 9 - 11)

(Los Angeles, CA - May 2, 2017) - San Diego's prime LGBT yearly film festival FILMOUT SAN DIEGO, now on its 19th anniversary, will have the most anticipated riot-comedy feature "A VERY SORDID WEDDING" as its Opening Night Film. The movie is the sequel to the classic "SORDID LIVES" from writer/director/creator Del Shores and producer Emerson Collins. This will be an exclusive San Diego Premiere and Director Del Shores and most cast members are expected to attend for the Q&A after the screening. An after-party is scheduled at the Sunset Temple (3911 Kansas Street, San Diego, CA 92104), which is directly across from the theatre.





The 3-day festival, which runs from June 9 through 11 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) will screen 37 films including award-winning films from both the Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals, along with independent features and a variety of short films. All screenings will be housed at the historic Observatory North Park Theatre in San Diego (2891 University Ave.)

The Closing Night Film will be the West Coast Premiere of Jennifer M. Kroot's "THE UNTOLD TALES OF ARMISTEAD MAUPIN" where an after-party is set at the West Coast Tavern (2895 University Ave., San Diego, CA 92104) in the upper theatre lobby.
