Ogie Diaz receives Best TV Entertainment Host 2022 from U.S. Asian American Press Club in Hollywood

Philippines’ well-known television personality, actor/comedian, entertainment journalist, book author, and talent manager Ogie Diaz attended the installation of officers and induction of members of General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Metropolitan Los Angeles on Friday, November 18, 2022, held at the Griffith Park Clubhouse in Los Angeles, California.
 
GFWC President Bernadette Advincula opened the ceremony followed by the pledge of allegiance and inspirational message from Katherine George Chu (GFWC/CFWC Los Cerritos District President and Elisa Trasoras (The Collect for ClubWomen) and the special performance of singer/artist Lyndon Apostol.
 
Installation of new officers announced by Marcia Willett (CFWC Domestic Violence Chair) were held before handling the special award given to Mr. Ogie Diaz.  
 
GFWC President Bernadette Advincula introduced Mr. Ogie Diaz with the latter’s famous line —  “Every Gising is a Blessing!.”  Assisted by Thelma Sugay (President of Filipino American Press Club of California – FAPCCA) and Nikki Arriola (President of Asian American Press Club of U.S. – AAPCU) onstage, the award was handed out Mr. Ogie Diaz for “Best TV Entertainment Host 2022.”
 
It was a reunion between Mr. Ogie Diaz and Mr. Nikki Arriola, as both used to work for ABS-CBN’s popular tv comedy sitcom “Palibhasa Lalaki.” Ogie Diaz character as “Pekto” in the tv series is one of the most well-loved characters where he used to be a mainstay as an actor in the Philippines and making him a household name. Mr. Nikki Arriola was then a house photographer for the sitcom who also worked for ABS-CBN’s “Balitang Amerika.”
Mr. Ogie Diaz thanked the different Filipino-American organizations present, as well as the non-Filipino audience attending the event.  He encouraged and invited his fellow Filipinos and non-Filipino guests attending the induction and installations of new officers to come and revisit the Philippines.  He also acknowledged the Filipinos living in the U.S. who continuously help his fellow Filipinos and countrymen who have been successful in their chosen fields of career and becoming good immigrants and citizens in the U.S.  
 
He cited and thanked his Filipino U.S. based fans who also paved the way for the success of his “I-Chika Mo Na, Dalil!” regular vlog and highly well-received “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Updates,” which is being released every other day online via his youtube channel, currently receiving at least less than a half a million views every edition.  Ogie Diaz has another youtube channel, the “Ogie Diaz Inspires” which has 3.17 Million regular subscribers.
