Kieran Max Goodwin, together with his friend Jaylan, created the “Mind of the Student,” a non-profit organization with an objective to shed light on the lack of mental health provision and education in schools, aiming to change this by delivering workshops to secondary school students on spotting the signs of depression and anxiety, self-help tips on ways to alleviate symptoms and sign-posting to mental health services within school and externally such as to CAMHS (https://camhs.huhs.harvard.edu/) and other local organizations.  Currently, the organization has helped students’ mental health awareness in schools across London, Essex, and Kent.

At age 17, Kieran Max Goodwin became the youngest CEO of an organization in the country of U.K.. He formed and launched the World Youth Organization in January 2016 at the Houses of Parliament in London, U.K..

Goodwin was also a competitive swimmer reaching national level in the “British Gas ASA Open Water National Age Group Championships.  In 2013, he went on to swim the English Channel in a 7 man relay team and broke the records since 1998.  It took him almost three years, in 2016, to establish the World Youth Organization.

He received the Princess Diana Memorial Award in 2016 due to his many charitable events that has been involved with.  The Diana Award honors young people who work to improve the lives of others.  Named after Diana, Princess of Wales, the award was established in 1999 by a board chaired by former U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in honor of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The Diana Award organization (https://diana-award.org.uk/) is a charity legacy to Diana’s belief that young people have the power to change the world.  The purpose of the Diana Award is to appreciate and celebrate the work which young people make to society — those who are young ambassadors, young leaders, young humanitarians, fundraisers, environmental campaigners, peer mentors, sports leaders and those who inspire others.  The vision is to empower young people to change the world, promoting a culture that celebrates young people from all sections of society who have made a selfless contribution to the society.

Goodwin was also nominated for many awards including the “Young People of the Year Awards” in 2014 and the “British Red Cross Humanitarian Citizen Awards” in 2015.
