‘SOCIETY OF THE SNOW’ (La Sociedad de la Nieve) is the true story of the Uruguayan Flight 571, a chartered flight filled with young members of the Old Christian Club Rugby team en route to a match in Santiago, Chile that crashed in the cold Andes mountains on October 1972.

From writer director J.A. Bayona (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, A Monster Calls, The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, Penny Dreadful, The Orphanage) this is an emotional thriller that is best seen in theatres (coming this December in selected theatres and will be on Netflix on January 4, 2024).

Bringing breathless thrills and emotional gravitas to this ferocious survival epic, this film has indelible performances from cast and great scoring from composer Michael Giacchino. This is Spain’s official submission to the Oscars for Best International Feature.
